Christmas in the Park and the Santa Claus Parade

Content

December 6, 2008

Santa Claus makes an early stop in Maple Ridge at the annual Christmas in the Park and Santa Claus Parade on Saturday December 6, 2008.  Christmas in the Park occurs from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Memorial Peace Park and includes a dazzling display of lights and music, community carols and a free photo session with Santa.  An important change for 2008 is an expanded Santa Claus parade beginning at 6:00 pm!  This year the parade starts on Dewdney Trunk Road at 220th Street, travels east on Dewdney Trunk Road until 224th Street, and then south on 224th Street past Memorial Peace Park ending at Selkirk Avenue.  Bring a lawn chair, warm clothes and a mug for free hot chocolate.  Donations are accepted to the Friends in Need Foodbank and the Christmas Hamper Society.
