Christmas in the Park and the Santa Claus Parade

Santa Claus makes an early stop in Maple Ridge at the annual Christmas in the Park and Santa Claus Parade on Saturday December 6, 2008.  Christmas in the Park occurs from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Memorial Peace Park and includes a dazzling display of lights and music, community carols and a free photo session with Santa.  An important change for 2008 is an expanded Santa Claus parade beginning at 6:00 pm!  This year the parade starts on Dewdney Trunk Road at 220th Street, travels east on Dewdney Trunk Road until 224th Street, and then south on 224th Street past Memorial Peace Park ending at Selkirk Avenue.  Bring a lawn chair, warm clothes and a mug for free hot chocolate.  Donations are accepted to the Friends in Need Foodbank and the Christmas Hamper Society.

Haney Farmers' Market - Winter Celebration at Albion Fairgrounds

Dec 6, 2008 (9:00 am - 2:00 pm)

Pancake breakfast, mini doughnuts, delicious grilled hamburgers by the Kiwanis, preserves, baking, olives, and so much more.  Browse the many fabulous crafts and art that are just in time for the Christmas season.  Enjoy being under cover at the Fairgrounds while listening to roving musicians and songs to shop by from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Follow the signs to the big arch.

Winter Wonderland

Come and enjoy a winter holiday skate with the ice decorated in holiday cheer and festive lights. Toys, sleds, carts and snow will be there for the little ones to play with. Everyone is welcome, no shoes, only ice skates worn on the ice.  Baby buggies and strollers are welcome on the ice.

Christmas Haven

Pitt Meadows Lions' "Easter Egg Hunt"
