Public Skating
Public skating opportunities are offered at the Cam Neely arena at Planet Ice and the Pitt Meadows arenas. There are also special event skates throughout the fall, winter and spring seasons. For Stick & Puck schedules, please contact the arenas direct.
Skating Lessons
- Skating lessons are offered at both arenas from September to March. Spring lessons are also available from April to June at Planet Ice.
- Skate lesson descriptions and schedules can be found in the skating schedule [PDF, 336KB].
- Review the skills required for each level and register in the class appropriate for the participant.
- Participants must successfully complete the skills for each level and receive a report card before registering for the next level.
- Skate lessons do not include skate or helmet rentals. If you require skates or helmets during lessons, you can rent them from Planet Ice. Skate lessons require a CSA approved hockey helmet. Bicycle helmets will not be allowed on the ice during lessons.
