Honour Guard
Content
The Maple Ridge Fire Department Honour Guard was founded in the winter of 1996 for a Fire Chief who died as a result of an motor vehicle accident while responding in a tender truck to a car crash. Since then the guard has been able to continue to grow in numbers and abilities. We have been the lead guard in several line of duty firefighter funerals in the province, the last being the Church ceremony Guard of LT Upton on Gabriola Island.
Today we have approximately 20 individuals on the Honour Guard.
