Recruit Training
Once candidates are selected they proceed to three months of Recruit Training. The recruit training schedule is composed of 64 hours of theory, 64 hours of home study and 144 hours practical training. Skills Mastered:
- Firefighter Safety and Survival
- Fire Department Procedures and Organization
- Fire Behaviour and Sciences
- Uses of Firefighting Equipment
- Live Fire Training
Probationary Training
After successful completion of Recruit Training, candidates proceed to three month Probationary Training which includes:
- First Responders
- Level III Automatic External Defibrillator
- Auto Extrication
- Hands On Experience while responding to Fire Emergency Calls
