Community Safety Stars

Safety Stars are community members of all ages and sizes involved in many types of activities or workplaces. Community Safety Stars are individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to promote, teach and support fire and life safety in Maple Ridge.

Community Safety Stars are awarded in three categories:

• Action - honours those who have taken action to prevent the loss of life and property; either through preventative measures or action in a crisis.
• Advocate - honours those who make conscious efforts to promote fire and life safety at home, work or school
• Partner - honours those with a true sense of community that step up and partner with the Fire Department to help promote fire and life safety within the district.
