The District of Maple Ridge provides friendly one-stop service for the film industry. In addition to processing all necessary applications and permits for filming, the Film Liaison is an accessible resource to find that perfect location for your production. Also, we are one of the closest communities to Vancouver that allow productions to take advantage of the maximum tax credits.

Our website is a great source of location information offering 360o virtual tours of Maple Ridge. Ridgeview, our Geographical Information System (GIS) allows you to view and print out aerial photos of any section of the District.
Motion Picture Production and My Property
If your residential or commercial property is selected by a company for filming, a location manager will contact you to arrange the details of the filming. To confirm the validity of the location manager or production company, call the B.C. Film Commission at 604-660-2732. The Film Production Liaison for the District of Maple Ridge works with each location manager to ensure public concerns are addressed and resolved and help guide you through the process, ensuring that your needs are met throughout the filming production. The District of Maple Ridge works to maintain a balance between the needs of residents, business owners and film production staff.
