How to Sell to the District

Content

The District of Maple Ridge procures numerous types of goods and services. Examples of purchased goods and services include, but are not limited to: vehicles, heavy duty equipment, parts, pipe, road installation, water and sewer services, computer equipment, office products and machines, office furniture, consulting services, building and grounds maintenance services, communications, safety supplies, fire fighting apparatus and equipment, first aid supplies, drafting supplies, printing services, signage, and janitorial services and supplies. How to Get on the Bidder's List

Purchasing requests that the supplier send something in writing or by email so they are aware of the company, product, or general interest of the supplier. The business must have a valid business licence for the city or municipality in which the work is being performed.  Submissions should include:

  • company name and contact person
  • address, phone number and facsimile number
  • a brief description of the products or services available
  • length of time in business
  • any other information about the business the supplier wishes to include

Optional submissions may include:

  • product brochure and catalogues
  • references

Once this information is received, Purchasing may file it in their library of commodities for future reference and pass on information to other departments who may be interested in the new company, products, or services.
